Al Baqarah 21 - 30
Al Baqarah (Cow Girl)
21
ﻳٰٓﺎَﻳُّﻬَﺎ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺱُ ﺍﻋْﺒُﺪُﻭْﺍ ﺭَﺑَّﻜُﻢُ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻱْ ﺧَﻠَﻘَﻜُﻢْ
ﻭَﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﻣِﻦْ ﻗَﺒْﻠِﻜُﻢْ ﻟَﻌَﻠَّﻜُﻢْ ﺗَﺘَّﻘُﻮْﻥَۙ
yā ayyuhan-nāsu'budụ rabbakumullażī
khalaqakum wallażīna ming qablikum
la'allakum tattaqụn
O people! Worship your Lord,who created you and those before you,so that you may become pious.
22
ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻱْ ﺟَﻌَﻞَ ﻟَﻜُﻢُ ﺍﻟْﺎَﺭْﺽَ ﻓِﺮَﺍﺷًﺎ ﻭَّﺍﻟﺴَّﻤَﺎۤﺀَ
ﺑِﻨَﺎۤﺀً ۖﻭَّﺍَﻧْﺰَﻝَ ﻣِﻦَ ﺍﻟﺴَّﻤَﺎۤﺀِ ﻣَﺎۤﺀً ﻓَﺎَﺧْﺮَﺝَ ﺑِﻪٖ ﻣِﻦَ
ﺍﻟﺜَّﻤَﺮٰﺕِ ﺭِﺯْﻗًﺎ ﻟَّﻜُﻢْ ۚ ﻓَﻠَﺎ ﺗَﺠْﻌَﻠُﻮْﺍ ﻟِﻠّٰﻪِ ﺍَﻧْﺪَﺍﺩًﺍ
ﻭَّﺍَﻧْﺘُﻢْ ﺗَﻌْﻠَﻤُﻮْﻥَ
allażī ja'ala lakumul-arḍa firāsyaw was-
samā`a binā`aw wa anzala minas-samā`i
mā`an fa akhraja bihī minaṡ-ṡamarāti rizqal
lakum, fa lā taj'alụ lillāhi andādaw wa antum
ta'lamụn
(It is He who) made the earth a bed for you and the sky a roof,and it is He Who sends down water (rain) from the sky,then He produces with it (rain) fruit as a sustenance for you.
Therefore do not set up rivals for Allah,even though you know.
23
ﻭَﺍِﻥْ ﻛُﻨْﺘُﻢْ ﻓِﻲْ ﺭَﻳْﺐٍ ﻣِّﻤَّﺎ ﻧَﺰَّﻟْﻨَﺎ ﻋَﻠٰﻰ ﻋَﺒْﺪِﻧَﺎ
ﻓَﺄْﺗُﻮْﺍ ﺑِﺴُﻮْﺭَﺓٍ ﻣِّﻦْ ﻣِّﺜْﻠِﻪٖ ۖ ﻭَﺍﺩْﻋُﻮْﺍ ﺷُﻬَﺪَﺍۤﺀَﻛُﻢْ
ﻣِّﻦْ ﺩُﻭْﻥِ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ﺍِﻥْ ﻛُﻨْﺘُﻢْ ﺻٰﺪِﻗِﻴْﻦَ
wa ing kuntum fī raibim mimmā nazzalnā 'alā
'abdinā fa`tụ bisụratim mim miṡlihī wad'ụ
syuhadā`akum min dụnillāhi ing kuntum
ṣādiqīn
And if ye are in doubt (the Qur'an) which We have revealed unto Our servant (Muhammad),then make a surah like it,and call upon your helpers besides Allah,if ye are truthful.
24
ﻓَﺎِﻥْ ﻟَّﻢْ ﺗَﻔْﻌَﻠُﻮْﺍ ﻭَﻟَﻦْ ﺗَﻔْﻌَﻠُﻮْﺍ ﻓَﺎﺗَّﻘُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺭَ
ﺍﻟَّﺘِﻲْ ﻭَﻗُﻮْﺩُﻫَﺎ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺱُ ﻭَﺍﻟْﺤِﺠَﺎﺭَﺓُ ۖ ﺍُﻋِﺪَّﺕْ
ﻟِﻠْﻜٰﻔِﺮِﻳْﻦَ
fa il lam taf'alụ wa lan taf'alụ fattaqun-
nārallatī waqụduhan-nāsu wal-ḥijāratu u'iddat
lil-kāfirīn
If you are not able to make it,and (definitely) will not be able to,then fear a hell fire whose fuel is people and stones,which is prepared for the disbelievers.
25
ﻭَﺑَﺸِّﺮِ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﺍٰﻣَﻨُﻮْﺍ ﻭَﻋَﻤِﻠُﻮﺍ ﺍﻟﺼّٰﻠِﺤٰﺖِ ﺍَﻥَّ
ﻟَﻬُﻢْ ﺟَﻨّٰﺖٍ ﺗَﺠْﺮِﻱْ ﻣِﻦْ ﺗَﺤْﺘِﻬَﺎ ﺍﻟْﺎَﻧْﻬٰﺮُ ۗ ﻛُﻠَّﻤَﺎ
ﺭُﺯِﻗُﻮْﺍ ﻣِﻨْﻬَﺎ ﻣِﻦْ ﺛَﻤَﺮَﺓٍ ﺭِّﺯْﻗًﺎ ۙ ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮْﺍ ﻫٰﺬَﺍ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻱْ
ﺭُﺯِﻗْﻨَﺎ ﻣِﻦْ ﻗَﺒْﻞُ ﻭَﺍُﺗُﻮْﺍ ﺑِﻪٖ ﻣُﺘَﺸَﺎﺑِﻬًﺎ ۗﻭَﻟَﻬُﻢْ
ﻓِﻴْﻬَﺎٓ ﺍَﺯْﻭَﺍﺝٌ ﻣُّﻄَﻬَّﺮَﺓٌ ﻭَّﻫُﻢْ ﻓِﻴْﻬَﺎ ﺧٰﻠِﺪُﻭْﻥَ
wa basysyirillażīna āmanụ wa 'amiluṣ-ṣāliḥāti
anna lahum jannātin tajrī min taḥtihal-an-hār,
kullamā ruziqụ min-hā min ṡamaratir rizqang
qālụ hāżallażī ruziqnā ming qablu wa utụ bihī
mutasyābihā, wa lahum fīhā azwājum
muṭahharatuw wa hum fīhā khālidụn
And give good tidings to those who believe and do good,that for them (provided) gardens beneath which rivers flow.
Whenever they are given sustenance of fruits from heaven,they say, "This is the sustenance that was given to us first." They have been given similar (fruits).
And there they (get) holy partners.
They stay in it.
26
۞ ﺍِﻥَّ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪَ ﻟَﺎ ﻳَﺴْﺘَﺤْﻲٖٓ ﺍَﻥْ ﻳَّﻀْﺮِﺏَ ﻣَﺜَﻠًﺎ ﻣَّﺎ
ﺑَﻌُﻮْﺿَﺔً ﻓَﻤَﺎ ﻓَﻮْﻗَﻬَﺎ ۗ ﻓَﺎَﻣَّﺎ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﺍٰﻣَﻨُﻮْﺍ
ﻓَﻴَﻌْﻠَﻤُﻮْﻥَ ﺍَﻧَّﻪُ ﺍﻟْﺤَﻖُّ ﻣِﻦْ ﺭَّﺑِّﻬِﻢْ ۚ ﻭَﺍَﻣَّﺎ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ
ﻛَﻔَﺮُﻭْﺍ ﻓَﻴَﻘُﻮْﻟُﻮْﻥَ ﻣَﺎﺫَﺍٓ ﺍَﺭَﺍﺩَ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﺑِﻬٰﺬَﺍ ﻣَﺜَﻠًﺎ ۘ
ﻳُﻀِﻞُّ ﺑِﻪٖ ﻛَﺜِﻴْﺮًﺍ ﻭَّﻳَﻬْﺪِﻱْ ﺑِﻪٖ ﻛَﺜِﻴْﺮًﺍ ۗ ﻭَﻣَﺎ
ﻳُﻀِﻞُّ ﺑِﻪٖٓ ﺍِﻟَّﺎ ﺍﻟْﻔٰﺴِﻘِﻴْﻦَۙ
innallāha lā yastaḥyī ay yaḍriba maṡalam mā
ba'ụḍatan fa mā fauqahā, fa ammallażīna
āmanụ fa ya'lamụna annahul-ḥaqqu mir
rabbihim, wa ammallażīna kafarụ fa yaqụlụna
māżā arādallāhu bihāżā maṡalā, yuḍillu bihī
kaṡīraw wa yahdī bihī kaṡīrā, wa mā yuḍillu
bihī illal-fāsiqīn
Indeed,Allah does not hesitate to make the
parable of a mosquito or anything smaller than that.
As for those who believe,they know that it is the truth from God. But those who disbelieve say,"What does God mean by this parable?" With that many He left astray,and with that many He guided.
But He did not lead astray with it but the
transgressors,
27
ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳْﻦَ ﻳَﻨْﻘُﻀُﻮْﻥَ ﻋَﻬْﺪَ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ﻣِﻦْۢ ﺑَﻌْﺪِ ﻣِﻴْﺜَﺎﻗِﻪٖۖ
ﻭَﻳَﻘْﻄَﻌُﻮْﻥَ ﻣَﺎٓ ﺍَﻣَﺮَ ﺍﻟﻠّٰﻪُ ﺑِﻪٖٓ ﺍَﻥْ ﻳُّﻮْﺻَﻞَ
ﻭَﻳُﻔْﺴِﺪُﻭْﻥَ ﻓِﻰ ﺍﻟْﺎَﺭْﺽِۗ ﺍُﻭﻟٰۤﻯِٕﻚَ ﻫُﻢُ
ﺍﻟْﺨٰﺴِﺮُﻭْﻥَ
allażīna yangquḍụna 'ahdallāhi mim ba'di
mīṡāqihī wa yaqṭa'ụna mā amarallāhu bihī ay
yụṣala wa yufsidụna fil-arḍ, ulā`ika humul-
khāsirụn
(i.e.) those who break the covenant of Allah after it has been confirmed,and decide what Allah has commanded to be joined and do mischief on the earth.
They are the ones who lose.
28
ﻛَﻴْﻒَ ﺗَﻜْﻔُﺮُﻭْﻥَ ﺑِﺎﻟﻠّٰﻪِ ﻭَﻛُﻨْﺘُﻢْ ﺍَﻣْﻮَﺍﺗًﺎ ﻓَﺎَﺣْﻴَﺎﻛُﻢْۚ
ﺛُﻢَّ ﻳُﻤِﻴْﺘُﻜُﻢْ ﺛُﻢَّ ﻳُﺤْﻴِﻴْﻜُﻢْ ﺛُﻢَّ ﺍِﻟَﻴْﻪِ ﺗُﺮْﺟَﻌُﻮْﻥَ
kaifa takfurụna billāhi wa kuntum amwātan fa
aḥyākum, ṡumma yumītukum ṡumma
yuḥyīkum ṡumma ilaihi turja'ụn
How do you disobey Allah,when you were dead,then He gave you life,then He caused you to die and then He brought you back to life.
Then to Him you will be returned.
29
ﻫُﻮَ ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻱْ ﺧَﻠَﻖَ ﻟَﻜُﻢْ ﻣَّﺎ ﻓِﻰ ﺍﻟْﺎَﺭْﺽِ ﺟَﻤِﻴْﻌًﺎ
ﺛُﻢَّ ﺍﺳْﺘَﻮٰٓﻯ ﺍِﻟَﻰ ﺍﻟﺴَّﻤَﺎۤﺀِ ﻓَﺴَﻮّٰﻯﻬُﻦَّ ﺳَﺒْﻊَ
ﺳَﻤٰﻮٰﺕٍ ۗ ﻭَﻫُﻮَ ﺑِﻜُﻞِّ ﺷَﻲْﺀٍ ﻋَﻠِﻴْﻢٌ
huwallażī khalaqa lakum mā fil-arḍi jamī'an
ṡummastawā ilas-samā`i fa sawwāhunna
sab'a samāwāt, wa huwa bikulli syai`in 'alīm
It is He (Allah) who created all that is on earth for you,then He went to the heavens,then He perfected them into seven heavens.
And He is All-Knowing of all things.
30
ﻭَﺍِﺫْ ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﺭَﺑُّﻚَ ﻟِﻠْﻤَﻠٰۤﻯِٕﻜَﺔِ ِﺍﻧِّﻲْ ﺟَﺎﻋِﻞٌ ﻓِﻰ
ﺍﻟْﺎَﺭْﺽِ ﺧَﻠِﻴْﻔَﺔً ۗ ﻗَﺎﻟُﻮْٓﺍ ﺍَﺗَﺠْﻌَﻞُ ﻓِﻴْﻬَﺎ ﻣَﻦْ
ﻳُّﻔْﺴِﺪُ ﻓِﻴْﻬَﺎ ﻭَﻳَﺴْﻔِﻚُ ﺍﻟﺪِّﻣَﺎۤﺀَۚ ﻭَﻧَﺤْﻦُ ﻧُﺴَﺒِّﺢُ
ﺑِﺤَﻤْﺪِﻙَ ﻭَﻧُﻘَﺪِّﺱُ ﻟَﻚَ ۗ ﻗَﺎﻝَ ﺍِﻧِّﻲْٓ ﺍَﻋْﻠَﻢُ ﻣَﺎ ﻟَﺎ
ﺗَﻌْﻠَﻤُﻮْﻥَ
wa iż qāla rabbuka lil-malā`ikati innī jā'ilun
fil-arḍi khalīfah, qālū a taj'alu fīhā may
yufsidu fīhā wa yasfikud-dimā`, wa naḥnu
nusabbiḥu biḥamdika wa nuqaddisu lak, qāla
innī a'lamu mā lā ta'lamụn
And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels, "I am going to make a caliph in the earth."
They said, "Do you want to make people destroy and shed blood there, while we glorify You and sanctify Your name?" He said, "Really,I know what you do not know."
